About
A company built to bridge technology and mission.
EO exists for the moments when a difficult technology question meets a mission that cannot afford to get it wrong.
Why EO exists
Engineering Opportunities was created from firsthand experience watching organizations struggle to translate complex technology into operational capability. Not because the technology itself was unknowable, but because the gap between a technical possibility and a working, secure, operationally sound capability is wider than most roadmaps assume.
EO is a technology consulting company that sits in that gap — helping leaders understand what is actually possible, where it creates meaningful value, what risks it introduces, and how to move from strategy to implementation without losing the mission along the way.
How we work
The work favors clarity over jargon, pragmatism over hype, and operational understanding over slide-deck strategy. We draw on hands-on experience in public safety, cybersecurity, mission-critical environments, and the technologies that are reshaping all three — AI, advanced systems, and the arrival of quantum computing.
We are deliberately an AI-first company. That means AI is used inside the business — for research, analysis, documentation, and operational workflows — not just discussed as a service we sell. The result is a consulting practice that moves faster, writes clearer, and shows up with more preparation than its size would suggest.
Who we work with
Law enforcement, fire/rescue, EMS, and emergency communications. State and local government. Critical-infrastructure operators. Enterprises evaluating AI adoption or preparing for post-quantum realities. Government contractors and technology partners who need an advisor who understands the mission side of the table.
The founder
Engineering Opportunities was established to apply extensive, hands-on engineering and operational experience to organizations facing complex technology challenges. Its founder brings 32 years of IT experience, including 22 years in public safety, 22 years in information security, and nine years specializing in cybersecurity. These disciplines overlap within the founder's professional career.
The founder's experience spans frontline emergency communications, dispatcher training, enterprise public-safety systems administration, solution design, regional technology deployments, application configuration, systems integration, and security risk identification. This progression—from working inside critical operations to engineering the systems that support them—shapes EO's practical approach to technology challenges.
Founder experience reflects professional roles held before EO and should not be read as claims of completed EO client engagements.
